Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Takes On Donald Trump And Mitch McConnell
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and 73-year-old Donald Trump will not be spending Thanksgiving together — that is fact. AOC has also made it clear that she and Mitch McConnell are not friends.
The Donald recently lashed out at Puerto Rico as it braced itself for Hurricane Dorian by saying: “Puerto Rico is one of the most corrupt places on earth. Their political system is broken, and their politicians are either Incompetent or Corrupt. Congress approved billions of Dollars last time, more than anyplace else has ever gotten, and it is sent to Crooked Pols. No good!”
Trump added: “And by the way, I’m the best thing that’s ever happened to Puerto Rico!”
Ocasio-Cortez has decided to hit back by writing: “You’re not the best thing to happen to anybody but yourself. And even that’s questionable.”
The freshman Democratic congresswoman from New York added: “3,000 Americans died on your watch. You’re not the best thing to happen to anybody but yourself. And even that’s questionable.”
Ocasio-Cortez, 29, has also been quite disappointed with McConnell and she made sure to let the world know.
The incident that started it all was a series of pictures showing a group of men being inappropriate with a cardboard cutout of Ocasio-Cortez. The boys wore shirts with the logo “Team Mitch” on them.
According to Ocasio-Cortez, that was a clear sign that McConnell employed them, and she called him out on social media.
She also added a question for McConnell, asking him if he was explicitly paying the boys to grope and choke members of Congress.
McConnell had no response to the questions and remained mostly quiet on the public front.
The photo appeared at a peculiar time — not long after Ocasio-Cortez made some public statements against McConnell in the early moments after the shootings in El Paso and Dayton.
To that end, there has been strong speculation that the posts were in response to the statements made by Ocasio-Cortez.
The battle between Ocasio-Cortez and certain other politicians has been getting very fierce lately, and it looks like the two might go to some great lengths to ensure that they get the last word in.
