After Marsha Hunt gave birth to Karis, there was a huge issue surrounding the paternity of the child. In 1973, with Karis being a little over 2 years, Marsha decided to request an affiliation order against Mick Jagger.
She took this step because Jagger had denied being the father of the girl. They finally resolved the case out of court and Mick decided to set up a trust fund for Karis. He was to pay in $17 weekly until the girl got to 21 years.
By 1978, Karis’ mother filed a paternity suit in Los Angeles where she asked him to pay $580. This was in response to the lead singer’s public dispute of the paternity of Karis.
