Gallatin heads the troops of elves, while Francesca is busy looking for Ciri. He wants Nilfgaard to win the war so that they can get a kingdom of their own, ensuring the race’s survival.

When Gallatin reveals to Cahir about Francesca looking for Ciri, the latter sees an opportunity to get into Emhyr’s good book.
Cahir takes Gallatin to the Emperor, hoping to get back in his search for Ciri. He is not concerned about the dispute between Francesca and Gallatin, even when he has a soft spot for Gallatin.
Emhyr, when found out about Francesca’s quest, tries to align with them in the search, however, only for his interest.
Gallatin, without knowing about this, thought that Emhyr might want elves to fight against the northern kingdom instead of running after a random girl. He thought of taking control of the elves from Francesca.
